GPS - Vehicle Tracking System

GPS Tracking System may refer to the entire system used in the operation of tracking a GPS device. This actually includes the installation of GPS tracker on the subject to track, the GPS satellites which communicate to the GPS transceiver, the cellular tower or network which also stores location information from GPS satellites and serves as gateway between the GPS transceiver and network servers, and the software or web-based application that contains a customized map and shows the location of the GPS tracker.

GPS tracking device is installed in the vehicle. And through its antenna, it communicates with the GPS satellites to acquire coordinates or location data. At the same time, the GPS satellites also provide location data to cellular towers. In any case the satellites move away from the location, the new GPS transceivers on that particular area can still easily acquire location information because the same information have already been stored in the cellular network servers.
